Description: Walker Akero’s signature weapon, the Akero Family Sword is one of the three of their kind and allows Walker to use his fire powers to the fullest. The sword is totally unique: A steel katana with a carved dragonshead ivory handle and an ornate gold hilt. Even the solid black sheath was adorned with gold, and has several fire-based spells to be used in combat. However, it's mostly used for melee attacks, something it specializes in. The Katana was the sword of the samurai. The samurai’s Katana may be the finest sword ever made. It is a slashing blade with a sharp chisel-shaped point. The steel was often of exceptional quality, built up with a laborious process of folding and re-folding; some blades had hundreds of folds. This created a sword of incredible resilience and strength. The hilt accommodates one or two hands equally well. No other weapon was so revered; an elaborate code of conduct governed its use, and a sword would be tested on executed criminals, or occasionally whatever peasant happened by at the time.
Walker’s katana was given to him by Rahan Akero, It's a fully functional full tang (double pegged) katana and the blade is sharp, with an ivory Samurai-pictorial handle, and added the dragon head, with the open dragon mouth Kashira. It is an incredibly powerful sword, with the metal in the blade being folded over 200 times, thus creating a blade of extraordinary strength and flexibility. As you can see, the handle itself features the same six Samurai-motif pictorial scenes identical to those on Rahan’s Akero Family Sword --however, the sides are reversed. The details are brought out by darkening the relief areas. The dragon's tail toils around the end of the hilt, and its scales are prominent, featuring a spike-based texture. Also, you will notice a peg hole, and a brass pin inside of it. The Japanese traditionally use bamboo pegs to secure the sword blade's tang within its handle. The bamboo peg could be tapped out so that the blade might be serviced. The peg hole suggests that the blade is possibly fashioned after the traditional Japanese manner, where a bamboo peg was typically used to fix the blade within the handle.
The one piece handle features a full length Kevlar/carbon fiber core and a 24K gold plated extra thick solid bronze tsuba, authentic metal tang caps, full tang construction using sharpened Tamahagane steel, and came with a black overcoat scabbard with a gold fixture on the end, probably to balance the gold tsuba, with a fully adjustable strap harness used to carry this sword unseen in public, and can be worn on the side or back. The Saya has been constructed from wood with a coat of lacquer on the exterior. A black cord Sage-o is tied around the wooden Kuri-kata. The Koi-Guchi has been hardened. The blade of the sword has been handmade, and extends to the bottom of the handle, stopping just before the dragon head. An Aesthetic Hamon has been added down the edge of the blade. A Bo-Hi has been added to the top of the blade to even out the weight and give audible feedback. This sword was built to be used and will withstand the rigors of training and cutting exercises.
The samurai sword is a symbol of justice and nobility and was believed to be an extension of the samurais' very soul. From an aesthetics standpoint, the hue of the ivory somewhat conflicts with the yellow-gold finish of the tsuba (or guard), which in turn conflicts with the habaki which features Akero's logo. And the gold of the prominent guard was of a different hue than the gold fixtures on the scabbard. It's guard is well done, but due to aging, the dragonhead looks worn, with a scar over the left eye and the other is more sunken in, and the black scabbard does not have gold furnishings any longer. While primarily used for its sheer power, the Akero Family Sword itself serves as an extra amplifier for the wielder's innate element. Granting it's user various flame imbued skill sets, the wielder is not only also capable of raising massive flame torrents to and from his body, but capable of wielding his element to such the extreme extent of severing portions of the surrounding atmosphere for a time.

Description: In the 1971 movie Dirty Harry, actor Clint Eastwood introduced the world to the double-action Smith & Wesson Model 29 .44-cal. Magnum revolver—"the most powerful handgun in the world." It was a crown S&W wore proudly, albeit briefly. The rising popularity of handgun hunting for big game (spurred largely by the .44 Magnum itself) prompted the introduction of newer and significantly more powerful revolver cartridges. Many powerful enough that they had to be chambered in single-action handguns because existing double-action designs could not contain the recoil forces and pressures they produced. Since S&W does not make single-action revolvers, and no double-action frame at its disposal could handle the new loads, S&W was effectively dethroned. In 2003 the gunsmiths and engineers at Smith & Wesson wanted to deliver maximum power for serious handgun hunters. The power they sought required an entirely new frame, the massive "X-Frame™," and was the basis for the new Model S&W500™, the most powerful production revolver in the world.
At the 2003 Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show, the manufacturer regained its crown. And, most significantly, it did it by introducing a new massive double-action revolver that is chambered for an equally new .50-cal. cartridge. The S&W X-frame Model 500 is a brawny handgun designed to master the most rigorous hunting fields in the world. It is not a revolver one would, or likely could, tuck into a waistband. In fact, to call it massive is an understatement. With its 8-3/8-in. barrel, the overall length of the Model 500 is 15 in. and the empty weight is 4.5 pounds. The cylinder alone is almost 2 in. in diameter and approaches 2.25 in. in length. Thumb the cylinder open and five charge holes await. Each is 1/2 in. in diameter, and the .50-cal. cartridges they hold are almost 2 in. long. Load five of them and the total weight of the handgun climbs to 5 pounds. You don't just casually pick up a Model 500. You have to lift it. Fire even one of those big cartridges and you'll appreciate why the weight and mass are there.
When the .44 Magnum laid claim to being the most powerful handgun in the world, its standard load produced about 900 ft.-lb. of muzzle energy. Several new loads have since eclipsed that, but the handgun most commonly used by big game hunters is the .454 Casull, which will generate about 1900 ft.-lb. The 500 S&W Magnum will produce almost 2600 ft.-lb. with its heaviest load, and more powerful loads may well be on the way. If Dirty Harry felt that the .44 Magnum would make his day, the new 500 S&W Magnum would certainly make his decade. It is the largest double-action revolver available, and there is no production revolver in the world—single or double action—capable of matching, or even approaching, the level of power it produces. Harnessing that power in a double-action revolver, however, required some departures from traditional designs. This ushered in the era of the "big gun" and was only the beginning. For ultimate power and velocity there's nothing even close to an X-Frame model handgun.
